Broken Vessel

May It be a Blessing to you

Sexual Immorality : Pt. 1

Sexual sin is one of those things that many people hide, or don’t talk about.

A secret sin for most -especially female’s

Its embarrassing yet many become addicted to it –

Sexual sin includes various types of sinful and impure acts:

  • Adultery
  • Fornification
  • Bestiality
  • Homosexuality
  • Incest
  • Voyeurism
  • Masturbation.

Growing up in church, when sermon about sexual immorality was given, they were mainly focused towards men/boys. However, many women also have struggled with sexual impurities yet little guidance is given to them. Many women go through theses struggles of sexual immorality, and they feel like something is wrong with them. They begin to feel hopeless and dirty – forbidding that others find out, including myself.

I too have fallen into the deadly secret cycle of sexual sin – feeling guilty, ugly, impure, worthless – not knowing what was wrong with me.

Since not many women shared about their struggles it made it seem like something was wrong with me- like I was the only female in the world who had this problem. Not knowing what to do, begging God for forgiveness and repenting of my sin – until it happened again. This was a messy cycle, that was drowning me into the pits of hell. Having the outer appearance of someone who loves Christ, but in secret I was digging my whole into hell.

I’m here to tell you my dear friend, you’re not alone and I too have struggled with sexual sin and through the blood of Christ we are able to be made whole and new when we repent.

Look before you, Christ still loves. He died on the cross knowing we would fail, knowing we would stray away, yet that’s how much he loves us – so we may walk in newness, purity, holiness, and in Him.

“Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body.”

1 Corinthians 6:18

Scripture:

  • Galations 5:19
  • Colossians 3:5
  • Ephesians 5:3
  • 1 Peter 2:11
  • 1 Corinthians 7:1-2
  • Matthew 5:28

“Then He said to them all, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.’”

Luke 9:23
